Basic Obedience We work with both the family and the animal(s). Duiring the training we will cover doggie do's and don'ts, how to create boundaries that make sense, and a list of commands customized to your needs.

When? Why ? About Us?
Dogs can learn basic obedience at any age. The best time to teach them obedience is from birth to 6 months. They are like sponges in this stage of their life and they want and need to learn. This is also where the dog learns how to deal with its environment and those that are in it or pass through it. The stuff that the dog learns in this stage of life can never be erased. The behaviors that are undesirable can be altered or exchanged for other behaviors, but not taken out of the dogs’ memory. All the things that the dog learned will effect how he interacts with the world.
We strive to help anyone who wants to learn how to avoid creating behaviors that are not desired. We also assist the caretakers in teaching the behaviors that are desired. Our training is based on understanding the dog's needs and using praise and discipline that works for both the dog and the caretaker.
We have been asked by many potential clients what they will learn. We tell them that it is up to them. In the first training session the client provides a list of goals they wish to achieve with their animal(s). Our goal is to teach you as much as we can and reach as many of the goals as possilbe in the shortest amount of time. We tell our clients the more you invest in the training of you and your dog, the faster and the further you will go.
We also have been asked which trainng methods we use. Our reply is that we use what ever method(s) fit best with the dog and all the parties involved. We try to work for the present and plan for the future.
Cat Can Do Training's ultimate goal is that you will not need us at the end of the training. However, we are always available for questions. We also provide boarding and board & train for those that are or have been on the CCDT training string.
